 | | Right to Intervene in Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship |
A grandparent may not file an original SAPCR requesting possessory conservatorship. However, a grandparent (or any other person deemed by the court to have had substantial past contact with the child) may intervene in a pending suit filed by a person authorized to file a SAPCR. Moreover, a grandparent may initiate an action for access to a grandchild.
